Carne Asada Salad

Carne Asada Salad

This fabulous meal will take you minutes to prepare, because all you have to do is throw the ingredients into a bowl!

Ingredients: 

  • Our delicious Carne Asada Meat 
  • 1 Avocado, sliced
  • Grape or cherry tomatoes (as many as you want)
  • Cotija Cheese crumbles
  • 1 sprig of Cilantro, chopped small
  • Peppers, onions, raw or sauteed (optional)
  • 1 head of large Lettuce, torn into bite sizes
  • Olive oil, vinaigrette, or ranch dressing

Instructions:

  1. Open your frozen meat and put it into a frying pan. Turn on low heat.
  2. Allow to simmer and heat up, stirring frequently. Make sure meat is heated to 165 degrees. This usually takes 5 minutes or less, depending on your stove. 
  3. Turn the heat to low simmer or turn off. 
  4. Chop your veggies and put in a bowl to serve.
  5. Shred lettuce, cut cilantro. 
  6. Starting with the lettuce as the base, Add a generous portion of the carne asada. Allow each person to create their own salad by adding the veggies and garnishes. ENJOY!
